Merry Christmas

Ho, Ho, Ho!!! Merry Christmas. A lot has happened since my last posting. In fact, I've been so busy, I havn't had time to update my blog.

First, Mommy had her tummy cut open and fixed. I guess she had something called a hernia, from when I was inside her. She thought it was just "Mommy Tummy" and would go away, but it didn't. So she had it fixed.

To help out, Grandma Nikki came out to visit and help Daddy with everything. She was here for two weeks, and we did a lot. First, we went back to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and spent the day. We had a lot of fun, and I even got a stuffed shark, and I've named him Bruce (for you Jaws fans). He actually a stuffed animal / puppet, so he "attacks" me when Daddy and I play.

We also took Grandma Nikki out to get our Christmas Tree. We drove way up into the Santa Cruz mountains, hiked up into the hills, picked out our tree, cut it down (I helped Daddy with the saw, kind of), and hauled it home. There were a lot of people out that day, having picnics and making an event of it. We got home and Daddy trimmed up the tree, put lights on it and it looks pretty. However, they put it out side on the patio. They said they did this so I wouldn't get into it. Whatever... >8-)

Now, Grandma Nikki has gone back home, and between Mommy's work and finals week for her Grad-School, and Daddy's work and his inability (or should I say, refusal) to change my diaper, things are very busy around here. But one thing that I've been able to do is perform in my very first Christmas Recital. Mommy was able to record it for me, and daddy has posted it here for you to see.

Next is Christmas, yea!!!! Grandma Na and Grumpa Yake are coming out to see me, on Christmas Day. They only can stay for a week, but that's OK. At least I get to see them too.

Well, that's about it from this little guy. I'll keep you updated on all the things I get for Christmas (I know I will because I've been a very good boy this year).

Merry Christmas everyone,

Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone

It's been a while since I last wrote, but that doesn't mean that not a lot has happened since then (except earthquakes, none of them).

For starters, my Grandma Nikki is here. I didn't even know she was here until I woke up in the morning and there she was, sleeping right next to me. It kind of scared me. At first I wouldn't look at her, but then once she picked me up and played with me, we were all good.

As if that wasn't enough, my Mommy had a surgery on her tummy. I think I caused it when I was inside of her. I'm sorry (sniff, sniff), I didn't mean to. But thank goodness, she is OK and healing just fine.

I have two new teeth coming in, molars Daddy calls them. I have one on each side, on the top. That gives me a total of 10 teeth!!! Besides that, I've been running around a lot. This walking thing is fun. Sometimes I just run from room to room, and giggle and laugh.

Lately, I've been trying to talk a lot. I've always been taking, just nobody knows what I'm saying. So Mommy, Daddy, and Grandma Nikki have been trying to teach me your language. They say a word, and I try to copy what they say. Although for some reason, they have been focusing on animal sounds, but I think it is pretty fun. Some of the words I can say are; Meow, Ruff-ruff, Moooo, Roooaaarrr, and Kaack (that's duck). Some other words I like to say are; Go!!!, Boo!!!, and No.

That's about it. I don't have any new pictures to post right now, but I know more will be on the way soon. Until then, Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!!!

Whoa!!! Did you feel that?

Holy-moly, did you feel that? I sure did. I thought it was gas and my tummy was rumbling, but then I started hearing car alarms... Then the lights started to shake... Then the cupboards started to rattle... Then the big sliding door started to move. It was a EARTHQUAKE!!!! AHHHHHH!!!!

Actually, this was my second earthquake, but only the first one that I felt. It was a pretty good one too. According to the USGS Earthquake Center, this one checked in just 9 miles north of San Jose, CA, and at a magnitude of 5.6.

Anyhow, all is OK now. Everyone is fine and nothing broke, although mom and dad were a little freaked out. I think they said if they had to choose, they would rather go through a tornado than a big earthquake.

Keep it steady,
Xavie

Boy, I've been busy

It sure has been a while since I've posted to my blog. Its not that I haven't been doing much, in fact its quite the opposite. I've been so busy I just haven't had the time. In the past 2 1/2 weeks I've:
  1. Graduated to my next class
  2. Went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium (Yeah, I'm a member)
  3. and go jogging and play in the park with mommy and daddy.

Graduation: Because I walk around not (actually, its my preferred method of mobilization) I have graduated to my next class. At first, I didn't like it (I'm just like my cousin Tessa, I don't like change), with all the new care takers, new room, and some new kids. I hated it. But now I like it. We all get to run around and play. And we even get to take our nap on our own little nap-cots!!! It is very fun.

Monterey Bay Aquarium: Yep, I'm a member now. I can come and go as often as I want. Mommy and Daddy took me there for my first time about a week ago, and I saw all kinds of neat stuff. I saw sting-rays (and touched them too), abalone, crabs, otters, fish, fish, and more fish, and my favorite of them all, the jelly fish. I even saw daddy's favorite fish of all; carcharodon carcarius. A.K.A. The Great White Shark (for you Jaws fans, we call him Bruce). Yeah, they have one there, but its a baby. Say Cheese!!!

Running and playing in the park: Daddy finally decided to get off his lazy but and getting back into shape. He said that "Round" doesn't count as being a shape. So we've been jogging around the neighborhood lately. He takes me to the park and I run around and play in the field, swing on the swing, and go down the curly slide. I have a lot of fun. In fact, sometimes I don't want to go home so I scream and yell and make all kinds of noise. Sometimes I think people wonder if I am being abducted. LOL!!!

I know mommy and daddy are busy too, but they promise to get some pictures up on our website for all of you to see.

Until next time America!!!

New videos of me walking

OK, many of you know by now that I am mobile. But now there is proof. Yep, a couple of videos of me walking around the house (click here). Hee hee, I am keeping Mommy and Daddy on their toes, walking from room to room, climbing the book shelves, eating Lou-lou's food. I'm everywhere and into everything.

Speaking of everything; you might have thought you've seen everything. But I bet you have not seen this (click here). Giddy Up!!!

I can walk now

I knew I could, and I did it!!!! Yesterday, I walked across the entire living room. Mommy and daddy were so surprised, the did know what to do. Quite frankly, all I wanted to do was go and get my ball, but there was no furniture for me to keep my hand on. So I just went without it.

Then, Mommy and Daddy made me do it again, and again, and again.... Boy I got tired, so I just sat down and started crawling again.

Anyhow, I just wanted to let you all know that I have gone mobile, with two legs now!!!

Walking around,
~Xavie

Ahhhh... Back to normal

Wow, what a whirl-wind weekend. One day I was playing with my friends at Day-care, then 2 hours later I was jetting across the country to strange lands. I think I remembered the places and the people, but my Mommy and Daddy didn't leave me there.

I was suppose to have gone to my first Cubs game, but I didn't get to go. I had some mean Dr poke me and inject something into me. They said that it was good for me, but it hurt and it gave me a fever and made me cranky, and made me miss my first Cub game. I'm not happy about that.

But now I am back at home and back to normal. I'm back at school, Mommy is back in school too, and we are all sleeping in our own beds. However, now Mommy is working late. She says she has to go to school too, and that it will help us in the long run. While I miss her, it's OK because it give me some good Daddy time.

So that's about it. Nothing new or exciting going on. I think Mommy, Daddy and me are all going on a day-date this Saturday. Something about going to see a guy named Art Wine. Not sure why the want to see Art Wine, but they said it is a big festival, and a lot of people do it. So hopefully it will be fun.

Talk to you next time,
~Xavie
